Breath and Movement for Childbirth

Do you have a baby on the way? It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by questions, fears, and uncertainty. Join other expectant parents as you and your birth partner prepare your body and mind for labor, delivery and the postpartum period. This workshop will empower participants by providing tips and tools for managing the birth process.
The workshop will cover:
Asanas (yoga postures) for labor and delivery
Visualization and breath work to relax the body and focus the mind
Partner massage techniques to manage stress and discomfort during active labor
Our prenatal yoga teacher, Abby, will guide you through this workshop and provide hands-on assisting and demonstrations throughout. This workshop will also provide you with an opportunity to learn from and connect to other expectant parents in your community.
The material covered will be beneficial for all stages of pregnancy and no prior yoga experience is necessary.
Pregnant participants and their birth partner should have one mat between them, wear comfortable clothes and feel free to bring water. If another support person is available on workshop night, in lieu of your birth partner you can bring them.
Only the expecting mom needs to preregister. All participants MUST be vaccinated.
