The Sun Salutation, Surya Namaskar is the heart of a vinyasa practice. We connect our breath with our movements in this repetitious flow that brings a meditative feeling to our practice. The poses and transitions of surya namaskar call for a significant amount of strength throughout our whole body. In this workshop we will explore the cultivation of this strength using a theraband, blankets, and blocks. Expect to gain clarity on the complex transitions throughout this powerful part of our practice. This workshop is designed for those who have some familiarity with sun salutations. All-levels welcome.

High to low pushup (chaturanga)
Chaturanga to updog
Updog to downdog
Jumping forward to our halfway lift
Rising to Urdhva Hastasana (upward salute) and arriving in Tadasana (mountain pose)
