I’ve taught yoga for over 20 years. In these decades of devotion to the practice, it’s evident that I value understanding more than achievement. You’ll see that I teach movement skills as a means of doing a yoga pose. A modern understanding of movement does not oppose the philosophical traditions of yoga, rather these two elements combine to create deep self-inquiry.
I consider myself to be an educator, so my classes are meant to inform and illuminate. My plank poses will refurbish your upper back, my balance poses will set your glutes aflame. Humor is my secret ingredient for teaching.
I live in Portland, Maine and delight in the beauty of this state. I’m an all-weather walker and a fair-weather bicyclist. I’ve been an organic flower farmer, and am often daydreaming about my next garden.
