I had been practicing yoga for a few years, and I was really enjoying the positive effects it had on my body. As soon as I started coming to Greener Postures I have noticed not only improvement in my balance and flexibility, but my mood is lifted whenever I walk into the studio. Danielle and Heidi and so many others have become my true friends and I feel like I am home when I'm there!

I have only been doing yoga for a little over a month, but I can't even describe to you how I feel. With every class, I am hungry for more. My body hurt so much at the start, but now every day I am eager to see what I can accomplish. And this extends into every aspect of my life. I never raise my voice anymore. When a problem of any size arises, I am focusing on the solution, not the problem itself. I never get out of breath anymore. I sleep like a LOG. I can feel myself changing in so many ways, and that's exciting.

When I first arrived at Greener Postures I was fresh from a battle with breast cancer and was very much in a victim state of mind. I knew little about yoga but felt that this was something that would help me gain my physical strength back. I quickly learned that my prize would be something more than physical health. Heidi and Danielle taught us to take what we learned on the mat and use it in everyday life. They taught us that we should be mindful in our transitions from one posture to the next because this is when we grow and see our true potential and that this applies to life as well. These lessons have transformed my life! I am now very much a survivor not a victim of breast cancer with the knowledge that I am stronger than I know! Physically I am achieving things I never believed I could and my spirit is so much brighter. My practice grows everyday and I am currently in yoga teacher training! I can't wait to share the light and love that yoga and Greener Postures has given me with others. Greener Postures is truly a magical place and Danielle and Heidi are beautiful people!

I have been a power vinyasa addict since 2008 and feel fortunate that Greener Postures found its way into my life last year! As a working mother of three young children, Greener Postures has become my oasis. For 90 minutes, a few days a week, it is just me and my mat - no deadlines to meet, no kids to take care of, nothing to do but be present on my mat. Iam also a runner and find that practicing yoga is a wonderful compliment to my training program. I enjoy Heidi and Danielle's flexible, accepting and supportive approach to teaching - or guiding - us through our practice each day. Yoga gives me the mental and physical strength I need to embrace whatever my busy life brings me. I am so grateful to be part of the Greener Postures community.

Over the years I've been a student of both Vinyasa and Iyengar yoga, by friends urging I next experimented with heated yoga a couple yearsback. I was intrigued by the heat, but could not find the right mix of heat, postures, healing, and relaxation. On a whim, I stopped into GP one morning this past January, I'd heard some good feedback, thought I'd check it out for myself. I'm now two months in, no looking back! What I've found here is the perfect mix of a practice that challenges me daily, while still offering the meditative, stress busting relaxation that I crave in my practice, packaged in a light happy atmosphere witha good dose of humor. I'm doing more yoga than I have in years, and I so value all the great instructors and great energy here at GP. The attitude is always do whatever your body tells you is doable today,maybe today you succeed at a new pose, or maybe you're able to try it tomorrow! The studio is kept clean, & welcoming! It is so amazing to watch yourself grow and change with your practice, and the diverse community here supports that.

I arrived at Greener Postures having followed the teachings of yoga from Heidi. Oblivious to what I was truly getting into, my experience at GPY has been nothing short of miraculously transformative. Heidi and Danielle are unique gems. Their powerful forces combined have created a warm and openhearted space where people can find their best selves, heal old wounds and grow in health and spirit through practice and mindful yoga. I am forever grateful for these ladies as they have been a huge inspiration in making yoga a part of my daily life. My mind and emotions have changed and with extra encouragement from Danielle and her radiant energy, I am now in yoga teacher training at GPY and cannot wait to share the joy that yoga and Greener Postures cultivates!! I am a competitive runner and started going to Greener Postures in February of 2011 while I was injured for the fourth time and wasn't able to run. A friend of mine was also injured so I joined to keep her company. I bought the $60 first-time monthly unlimited pass as I figured if I went 4 times it would be worth it. They had a February Challenge going on and I ended up going 28 days that month! I was hooked after that! I continued going and started running again in April. I kept up with my yoga practice while running and continued to see improvement in my flexibility, balance, and strength. In addition to an improvement in my running, I also found myself much more relaxed about things. Without question I am in the best running shape of my life and have been running injury-free since April. There is no doubt that practicing yoga attributes to this. I have been able to set personal best times in each race that I have run since the end of summer and just missed qualifying for the Olympic Marathon Trials in November. This was a goal that I never thought possible after being injured. Danielle and Heidi are both wonderful, kind, caring and very generous people. They both have a beautiful passion for yoga and it translates into their practice and business. I now make yoga a part of life. ~ Mary Pardi

Greener postures heated yoga has helped me in many ways. Not only have I gotten stronger and more balanced, I've managed to lower my blood pressure and minimize stress and whatnot in my daily life. My doctor had me do a trial run over the holiday and I've seen a huge drop in BP from when I started. What a life changer!
